Resolutions

I wanted something cute to write all my 2012 resolutions down on. One of my resolutions is to read more. I've got a whole list of books i'd like to read this year, so I drew the owl with the books.

First Home

Payson is growing on me, so I decided to draw up a piece to frame for my home office.

nomoretears

This week has been one of the more challenging weeks of my life. But I'm choosing to not cry anymore. I need to focus on what is important and take away what is good and be done with being sad. This doesn't mean i'm a robot or that I'm heartless, its just how It's just how I am choosing to cope with what has been dealt to me and my family.

College

These are some pieces I did when I was in college, so around 2003/2004.
This first one was an exercise on mixing paint colors. We could paint whatever we wanted that showed a variety of colors.

This one is a picture of my nephew Cole. It took soooo many hours to do this. It was using the pen tool, creating thousands shapes overlapping on top of eachother.

This one i used pen, colored pencils, paint and marker.

This was a redo of a painting, but we had to rip up magazines to create the color.

Cricut-Robot Party

This is one of my most recent Cricut cartridges to hit the market. This one was particularly fun for me to do, because of Jerome's love for robots. It has several different robots you can cut out, it has a box, a bag, a center piece, cupcake holders, napkin rings, robot glasses, name plates. a banner, a robot headband and lots more. Hope you like!

Zombie Girl

Couldn't quite bring myself to get to work this morning, so I took a small detour and drew out a zombie girl.

I've been making recipe cards lately. This is just a sampling of what i've been working on. I'll post them all when i'm done. So far i'm really diggin how they are turning out. I plan to sell blank ones online in my etsy store.

fun?

I really wanted to draw some cool looking zombie kids, so i did...
They are brother and sister and their grandma dragged them to the county fair. Her grandma made her wear that sweater and carry that balloon. Hope that came across in my drawing.

latest carts

"9 Months" and "County Fair" were just released! These are my latest cartridges to hit the market. I'm really excited about 9 months, because a lot of it is personally inspired. Such as the girl in the bath tub, i had to put her on there, because I live in the bath tub when i'm pregnant. Everyone gets cankles, so I had to throw that phrase in there. The wheel chair icon is from when I was having Story. I ran in the hospital and stopped to scream and the security guard ran and got me a wheel chair and escorted me up to the labor and delivery floor.

This is county fair. I had fun with this one. I've never actually been to a county fair before, BUT I am going to the PG rodeo tonight.

Hope you enjoy my art!

More Wind Chimes.

I thought it would be cool to do a wind chime with different depths in it, so I had one eye punch out and the other with an aluminum inset. The stain I used is one of my favorites. It has a red tone to it, which I really like. I chose pewter pipes for this one, because they were shorter and they went better with the skull than the long ones I used for the top hat and mustache.

I've been into top hats lately, so i thought it would be fun to do a steam punk wind chime. I chose the bronze and gold pipes again, but added the aluminum stripe to make it more interesting.

Punk-stache-wind chime

This is the mustache wind chime I made yesterday. I was really going for the steam punk look with the auburn stained oak and the gold/bronze wind pipes. Hope you like it! It was so much fun to make.

luau

This is the Luau cartridge I did. I only got 2 colors per image and 1 color per phrase, so it was pretty tricky, but still a lot of fun. My favorite is the fat guy playing the ukelele.

monster parade

This is my second go at photoshop painting. My skills really lie in Illustrator, I'm not as strong in photoshop. I am really diggin how this one turned out. I started out with 2 sketches, one of the monsters and one of the city. Then I added the street and sky. Hope you like it.

Spring Cartridge

This is one of my more recent cartridges for Spring 2011 called April Showers. It is a seasonal cartridge which means i can only design 50 images for the whole cartridge, so the tree takes 2 spaces, because its 2 colors. I had fun with this one. It was a quicky for sure though.

Mr. Monster

This was my first attempt at painting in Photoshop. I thought it would be fun to transfer one of my doodles into a painting of sorts. I don't love the painting as much as my meeting doodle, but it started out as the image below. I've played around with different paint brushes in photoshop and really like my second one, but i'll post that later on. For now here is Mr. Monster.

French Manor

These are images from another Cricut cartridge I worked on. I didn't do the whole cartridge, but these are the images I created for it. It's definitely not my style, but that's what's fun about my job, is you are constantly doing different things that isn't necessarily something you'd normally do.

Billionaire

This is a Cricut cartridge that I designed for Walmart at my job. It's called Billionaire. It is a font cartrdige with some fun icons to go with it. It started out as just mustaches and turned into an early 1900s rich guy theme. Its one of my favorites so far.

Art Blog

I started this art blog as a way to share the art that I create on my own and at my job. A lot of people ask what I do and this is a way for me to share my illustrations. Hope you enjoy it!
